My project is over the art history of Michelangelo Buonarroti's paintings and sculptures. He was born March 6, 1475 and died on February 18, 1564. His more well know work will be shown like The Pieta, The Sistine Chapel, and David. Also his less well know work like Madonna of Bruges, and Moses. Every artwork of Michelangelo I can find will be shown and discribed. The Pieta is a marble sculpture of Mary holding the body of Christ after crusafixtion. Instead of extreme grief she expresses restraint of her feelings. The Sistine Chapel was a request of Julius the second, he summoned Michelangelo to paint twelve figures of apostles and some decorations on the ceiling of the chapel. David
